Today, December 14, 2023, Finques Riart attended the presentation of the 47th edition of the prestigious sailing regatta Palamós Christmas Race, which will take place in the bay of Palamós from December 19 to 22.
The Christmas Race, organized by the Club de Vela Palamós and the Club Nàutic Costa Brava, features an exciting 47th edition that includes the 29er class and involves the participation of 232 boats from 17 different countries.
Miquel Aviñó, vice president of the Club Nàutic Costa Brava, highlighted the return of international crews from Australia, Canada, and Mexico, while Xavi Torres, president of the Federació Catalana de Vela, praised the Christmas Race's ability to reinvent itself and focus on youth crews.
Finques Riart, proud collaborators of this sporting event, was represented by Josep Ramírez at the presentation. In addition to the sporting excitement, the Christmas Race stands out for its economic impact and territorial dynamism, according to Mònica Alcalà, deputy for Youth and Education at the Diputació de Girona.
The regatta also has a sustainable vision, with concrete actions to preserve the environment. The organization will eliminate plastic and promote the use of recyclable bottles. With the registration date set for December 18, the Christmas Race promises an exciting experience from December 19 to 22, with the intention of the Palamós City Council to give it an impulse both in sports and as a brand for the municipality.
