The Costa Brava is synonymous with landscape, authenticity, and experiences that stand the test of time. And this spirit — which defines our territory, from Torre Valentina to every corner of Calonge i Sant Antoni — was at the heart of the first Nit del Turisme del Baix Empordà, an evening that begins with the clear intention of becoming an essential annual event.
The celebration, held at the Hotel Costa Brava in Platja d’Aro, brought together more than eighty professionals, companies, and institutions from the tourism sector. It was an encounter that successfully combined celebration, remembrance, and social commitment, reinforcing the idea that tourism is far more than an economic engine: it is territory, community, and experience.
Finques Riart, present on a night to remember
Ceigrup Finques Riart was represented by Elena Riart and Elena López, who enjoyed an evening full of meaningful moments and connections with professionals from the tourism sector and family tourism on the Costa Brava.
It was a night that highlighted the rigour, professionalism, and closeness that define our daily work: a service that goes beyond accommodation or property management, aimed at offering a complete and personalised experience for both property owners and visitors.
A moving tribute: remembering Josep Antoni Riart
One of the most significant moments of the evening was the presentation of awards to individuals and companies that have contributed to the growth of tourism in the Baix Empordà.
Among the honourees, a heartfelt tribute was paid to Josep Antoni Riart i Juncàs, founder of Finques Riart, for his dedication and vision in the development of tourism in Calonge i Sant Antoni and throughout the Baix Empordà.
A recognition that fills us with pride and reaffirms the values that continue to guide our work: love for the territory, commitment, and the will to accompany and support with professionalism and proximity.
A “quina” with Empordà essence… and a final anecdote
The evening also stood out for its originality: the traditional quina replaced numbers with concepts and references from the territory, turning each round into a collective memory game celebrating the Baix Empordà.
And there was even room for a final surprise: Elena Riart won the last round, known as the “Anti Quina”, sparking laughter and a sense of complicity among all attendees.
Solidarity that makes a difference: €2,850 for Viu Autisme
The first Nit del Turisme also had a strong charitable component.
The quina and the dinner together raised €2,850, which will be donated to the organisation Viu Autisme, dedicated to promoting inclusion and providing support to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.
A gesture that shows how tourism, when understood from the territory and for the territory, can also be a force for positive change.
A shared future for a unique territory
At Finques Riart, we continue working every day to contribute to the development of tourism and local life, offering apartment rentals in Calonge i Sant Antoni, real estate services, and property administration — all focused on meeting the real needs of people.
Because in the end, as with Torre Valentina and all the iconic spots along the Costa Brava, what truly remains are the experiences we share and the bonds we build.
The first Nit del Turisme del Baix Empordà is just the beginning: a celebration of the present and the future of our territory. A night to remember.
And an honour to have been part of it.
